Great Gable (the summit is in view from the apartments) and Scafell Pike can be reached on foot whilst Skiddaw, Helvellyn and all the classic fells are only a short distance away. Rose Cottage, built from local lakeland slate in 1852, now provides two fully self contained holiday apartments above the valley's only traditional village store. With the local pub only a short stroll away we are able to provide the perfect base for walking, cycling, photography or simply relaxing. Each apartment is fully equipped to high standards to ensure that your stay will be a memorable one for all the right reasons.
